Audio Engineer - (m/f/d) - Video Game Localization (Gamedesigner/in)

Are you a Project Manager with a passion for video games and multilingual storytelling? Altagram is looking for an Audio Project Manager to join our growing in-house team.
In this role, you’ll work on a number of localization projects for leading global clients, manage cross-functional collaboration, and help drive strategic improvements. You’ll work on some of the industry’s most exciting AAA titles while playing a key role in shaping quality, process, and client experience across the board.

YOUR ROLE
• Lead and coordinate day-to-day operations to ensure high-quality localization for video game titles across multiple platforms.
• Manage budgets, ensure timely invoicing and purchase orders.
• Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and clients, providing clear and timely updates.
• Facilitate kick-off and post-mortem meetings to refine workflows and improve project outcomes.
• Occasional support with booking voice talents – familiarity with Synchronstar and other booking platforms preferred.
• Provide regular status reports, flagging risks and tracking project progress.
• Ensure that all output meets IP-specific requirements, including tone, terminology, and style.

Your profile
• Exceptional English communication skills both written and spoken (ideally B2)
• Exceptional German communication skills both written and spoken (ideally C1), additional languages are a plus.
• 2+ years of experience managing localization projects, ideally in the video game industry with an LSP or game publisher.
• A background working with or for AAA developers or major game studios is an advantage.
• Excellent client-facing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with localization tools e.g. MS Excel, Python scripting is a plus.
• Fundamental familiarity with standard DAWs (in particular Pro Tools) is a plus.

Als Studiomitarbeiterin werden Sie*

- das VR-Studio und das Audio-Studio sowie die Rechner- und Mediensysteme im Studiengang Game Design organisieren und betreuen.
- die Studioleitung bei der Realisierung von Forschungs- und künstlerischen Entwicklungsvorhaben unterstützen.
- Studierenden, Studionutzerinnen und die Lehrenden in die theoretischen und praktischen-technischen Studioausstattung einweisen.
- Das zugeordnete finanzielle Budget verwalten und Bestellvorgänge tätigen und Inventarisierungen vornehmen.

Erforderliche Qualifikationen:

- Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium im Bereich Game Design oder vergleichbar.
- Praktische Erfahrungen in der Spielentwicklung
- Sehr gute Erfahrung im Umgang mit Game Engines insbesondere Unreal Engine 5
- Sehr gute Erfahrungen im Bereich Virtual Reality
- Erfahrung in der fachpraktischen Ausbildung/Unterweisung von Studierenden und Freude am und Fähigkeiten im Umgang mit Studierenden sowie in der Anleitung der Studionutzer*innen
- Kontaktstärke, Teamfähigkeit, Flexibilität, Organisationstalent und Kreativität

We are looking for a Audio Studio Operations Lead the charge in our state-of-the-art voice over recording studios located in Berlin, featuring 7.1 mixing capabilities. , You will be at the forefront of operational and creative responsibilities, contributing to high-profile video games like Remnant 2 and Ghostwire Tokyo. YOUR ROLE
• Assemble and lead an internal multi-disciplinary team, from sound engineers to creative team.
• Monitor all studio projects to meet quality, budget, and timeline targets, while also catering to unique client needs.
• Act as an Audio SME for Altagram's wider portfolio, facilitating projects in multiple languages.
• Coordinate with a diverse stakeholder for session scheduling.
• Optimize the studio setup in terms of equipment and technology.
• Oversee studio financials, including invoicing and quotes.
• Lead tech innovation to implement cutting-edge AI solutions for pre and postproduction, in cooperation with our partner Alocai.

Your profile
• A minimum of 3 years experience as an Audio Lead or in a similar leadership role.
• Native or bilingual proficiency in German, fluent in English.
• Expertise in the video game industry.
• Experience in ADR and dubbing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of studio operations and recording sessions.
• Strong grasp of audio engineering techniques with ProTools.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
