What to Expect:
Tesla’s Power Electronics group is looking for a skilled and motivated electrical engineer to design and develop Power Electronics converter hardware intended to be used in Tesla energy products.

What You’ll Do:
• • Design and build hardware of power electronics converters for use in energy applications
• Start to finish ownership of hardware – from specification to design, prototype, reliability validation and high-volume manufacturing
• Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout, and firmware engineering teams to successfully to design, validate and manufacture power converters
• Architecture and modeling of new power converter topologies that achieve better performance
• Perform sustaining design activities to improve product quality, cost and/or manufacturability of existing power electronics products

What You’ll Bring:
• • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
• Relevant hands-on hardware experience in power converter design and strong understanding of power electronics topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC & DC/AC)
• Experience with high voltage power semiconductor selection (Si/SiC/GaN MOSFET’s, Diodes), gate drive and protection circuit design
• Strong knowledge of switching waveforms, semiconductor loss modeling, magnetics, capacitors, and analog/digital circuit design for power conversion
• Proficiency in schematic capture, power converter simulation tools, and PCB layout optimization for manufacturability, EMC, and minimal parasitics optimization.
• Skilled in working with basic EE tools like Oscilloscopes, Network analyzers, Signal Generators, etc.)

Tesla is currently seeking an IT infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Freiburg, Germany, and specialize in network and IT manufacturing engineering in a global enterprise environment. This role will provide network and IT manufacturing engineering, implementation, analytical, and operational support, primarily at manufacturing facilities. The engineer will ensure compliance to established system architecture, regulations and security policies, follow standards and best practices, and author and maintain support documentation.

• Work closely with staff network engineers & manufacturing controls engineers on design and initiatives
• Function as a tier-2 escalation point. Gather requirements, analyze and propose solutions to networking needs
• Provision, implement, test, validate and maintain networking services per solution design
• Monitor, analyze and report network services metrics and document network knowledge base and operational runbooks
• Must be able to work occasional weekends, after hours, and holidays, participate in on-call rotation and able to travel when required
• Primary responsibility is to ensure minimal IT downtime for manufacturing and interact with multiple teams to plan and manage equipment installation and support

What You’ll Bring:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a desktop support or system admin role
• Experience troubleshooting hardware issues, replacing hardware on Windows machines and imaging hardware devices and updating firmware
• Experience troubleshooting thermal label printers, barcode scanners, hand-held radios, digital signage and basic client-side network (DHCP, DNS, Static IP) problems
• Must be available for swing shift, weekends, and on-call support and very good written and spoken German and English skills and able to work under pressure in the presence of stakeholders
