The Leibniz Institute on Aging - Fritz Lipmann Institute (FLI) in Jena is a federal and state government-funded research institute and member of the Leibniz Association (Leibniz-Gemeinschaft). FLI’ s internationally visible and highly competitive research is focused on understanding the mechanisms of aging and associated age-related diseases. Scientists from over 40 countries are currently investigating the molecular mechanisms of aging and the occurrence of age-related diseases. Our aim is to create the basis for new approaches in medicine as a way to improve the health of the elderly (<a href="www.leibniz-fli.de" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.leibniz-fli.de</a> (<a href="https://www.leibniz-fli.de" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.leibniz-fli.de</a>/) ).

The Research Group led by Dr. Björn von Eyß at FLI is looking for a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/x) to join a DFG funded research project:

Postdoc (m/f/x)

Research focus of the Lab:

Thevon Eyß Research Group (<a href="https://www.leibniz-fli.de/research/research-groups/von-eyss" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.leibniz-fli.de/research/research-groups/von-eyss</a>) studies the Hippo pathway and its impact on organ regeneration, cancer and aging. This signaling pathway has two effector proteins: the transcriptional coactivators YAP and TAZ. The research group focuses on different aspects of the biology of YAP/TAZ. The goal is to identify novel signaling pathways that control YAP/TAZ activity.
 
Your tasks:

The DFG funded research project aims to explore the “decoding of the cytoplasmic role of YAP/TAZ in cancer mechanotransduction”

·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Investigation of the role of YAP/TAZ in mechanotransduction

·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Identification of cytoplasmic signalling cues that are influenced by YAP/TAZ in a new mouse model

·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Characterisation of the mechanisms by which YAP/TAZ are regulated in cytoplasmic signalling pathways

Your qualifications:

·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; PhD in Biology, Life Science, Biomedicine, or equivalent

·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Genuine interest in pursuing an independent academic career

·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Experience in molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology techniques

·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Experience in basic bioinformatics (Linux, R) would be desirable

·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; FELASA-equivalent certification and experience in the planning, execution and documentation of animal experiments is a plus, but not a prerequisite

·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Excellent spoken and written English and German

Postdoc (m/f/x)

Research focus of the Lab:

Thevon Eyß Research Group (https://www.leibniz-fli.de/research/research-groups/von-eyss) studies the Hippo pathway and its impact on organ regeneration, cancer and aging. Wir suchen Sie als Mitarbeiter (m/w/d) Abscheiderprüfung an unseren Standorten Erfurt, Arnstadt, Zella-Mehlis, Nordhausen oder Jena zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt.

Ihre Aufgaben

- Als Mitarbeiter (m/w/d) Abscheiderprüfung sind Sie für die Durchführung unserer Dienstleistungen bei der Überprüfung und Abnahme von Abscheideranlagen inkl. der Berichterstellung zuständig
- Kontaktaufnahme mit Kunden zur Auftragsanbahnung und Auftragsabwicklung
- Zu Ihren Aufgaben gehört zudem die terminliche Organisation der Prüftätigkeiten sowie die anschließende Abrechnung der Leistungen
- Sie koordinieren unsere Partner innerhalb und außerhalb des Unternehmens und pflegen den Kontakt zu Behörden
- Aktive Unterstützung bei der fachlichen Weiterentwicklung unserer Dienstleistungen
- Sie nehmen regelmäßig an extern anerkannten Fortbildungen und Erfahrungsaustauschen teil, um Ihre Kompetenzen aufrechtzuerhalten und weiterzuentwickeln

Ihr Profil

- Sie verfügen über ein abgeschlossenes Studium in den Bereichen Naturwissenschaft, Biowissenschaft oder Technik oder alternativ eine Qualifikation als Techniker
- Sie können mindestens 3 Jahre Berufserfahrung im Bereich Abwasserrecht vorweisen
- Fachkunde auf dem Gebiet Abscheideranlagen [DIN 1999-100/101 bzw. DIN 4040-100] ist wünschenswert
- Berufung als Sachverständiger nach AwSV und IndEVO oder die Bereitschaft, die erforderlichen Qualifikationen zu erlangen
- Sie zeichnen sich durch entscheidungs- und durchsetzungsstarkes Auftreten, eine schnelle Auffassungsgabe sowie hohe Kunden- und Serviceorientierung aus
- Sie besitzen einen Führerschein der Klasse B und einen PKW
- Verhandlungssichere Deutschkenntnisse runden Ihr Profil ab
