Your tasks:

- Analysis, evaluation and coordination of the requirements derived
from the operational concept for a navigation system suitable for
aviation
- Conversion of the identified requirements into a technical solution
(taking into account the existing aviation equipment and its
functions)
- Close cooperation and coordination with software and system
engineers to efficiently implement the developed architecture
- Development of innovative integration methods in order to enable
the dual-use sensor concept for aeronautical navigation applications
- Execution of trade-off analyses
- Specification, development and testing of novel navigation systems
Implementation and system support of software prototypes for the
navigation system
- Implementation/support of system integration and system
verification by appropriate functional tests
- Performing and participating in validation reviews according to the
aviation specific development process
- Support of the certification activities (e.g. with aviation
authority EASA)





Your profile:

- Completed studies in the field of Computer science, mathematics,
physics or a comparable qualification
- Over 4 years of professional experience in the field of
IT/information systems
- Professional experience as an aviation system engineer is an
advantage
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C/C++, MATLAB,
etc. is required
- Fluent in English
- German knowledge is a plus

For our client Airbus Defence and Space you are acting as Senior Software Architect - Simulation Control Stations (m/f/d) at the location Manching.

Your responsibilities:

- Communication with stakeholders and customers to gather and understand requirements
- Define and architect the software foundation for simulation control stations, instructor operating stations and flight training debriefing stations
- Lead the design and development of intuitive and user-friendly interfaces using a custom GUI framework based on Qt/QML
- Define and maintain the overall technical architecture of the software, including the design and organization of the codebase, interfaces to other systems, the overall structure and organization of the software
- Design, develop, test and maintain software by writing clean, efficient and maintainable code, and follow software development best practices
- Analyze and debug software issues, and fix bugs

- Mentor and train junior engineers in the Qt/QML technology stack and the derived architecture

Your profile:

- Completed studies in computer science, software engineering  or comparable
- Several years of experience in software development with focus on frontend/UI applications
- Proven track record of designing and implementing complex software architectures in a collaborative environment is needed
- Experience with modern DevOps pipelines, containerization, and agile software development methodologies
- Strong proficiency in C and Qt/QML technology stack

- Implementierung und Systemunterstützung von Softwareprototypen für das Navigationssystem Durchführung/Unterstützung der Systemintegration und Systemverifikation durch entsprechende Funktionstests
- Durchführung und Teilnahme an Validierungsreviews gemäß dem luftfahrtspezifischen Entwicklungsprozess
- Unterstützung der Zertifizierungsaktivitäten (z.B. bei der Luftfahrtbehörde EASA)

Wir wünschen uns:

- Ein abgeschlossenes Studium in Mathematik, Physik, Informatik, oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
- Berufserfahrung in den Bereichen IT / Informationssysteme, sowie Systemingenieurwesen in der Luftfahrt
- Ausgeprägte Team- und Kommunikationsfähigkeiten, sowie eine selbständige Arbeitsweise
- Ein hohes Maß an analytischem Denkvermögen
- Verhandlungssichere Englischkenntnisse (Deutsch von Vorteil)
- Tools: Python, C/C++, Matlab
