Scope of duties The newly established Systems Neuroimmunology Laboratory at LMU Munich is seeking a motivated and creative postdoctoral researcher passionate about combining neuroimmunology and advanced computational approaches, including artificial intelligence (AI), to unravel the mechanisms driving neuroimmunologic diseases. Your responsibilities: · Plan and perform innovative large-scale experiments bridging human patient samples and cutting-edge AI-driven analyses · Validate computational findings through functional laboratory experiments · Develop and optimize protocols involving omics methods, immune cell assays, flow cytometry, and gene editing techniques · Collaborate closely with biologists, clinicians, and data scientists within a highly interdisciplinary environment · Contribute to publications and presentations at international conferences Our requirements · Completed PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Immunology, or related field · Strong interest in computational science and AI (prior formal training not required) · Experience with immunological methods (flow cytometry, qPCR, functional assays, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing) is beneficial · Familiarity with omics and sequencing technologies (e.g., scRNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, TCR-/BCR-sequencing, ChIP-seq) is advantageous · Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and creativity · International candidates are strongly encouraged to apply Our offer · Exciting position within a creative, and highly interdisciplinary research group · Open, collaborative culture with ample opportunity for innovative ideas · Strong commitment to career development and training · Excellent scientific environment with state-of-the-art technologies and facilities · Remuneration is based on the Collective Agreement for the Public Sector of the Länder (TV-L) including all allowances customary in the public sector
