Postdoctoral researcher in Quantum Computing (Physiker/in)

Ph.D. in physics or electrical engineering or equivalent skills and experience
Excellent experimental and theoretical expertise in the field of laser physics including femtosecond and high power lasers
Strong track record and international recognition in the field of nonlinear optics and specifically parametric processes
Very good basic knowledge of electrical engineering
Experience with the setup and use of common control systems such as DOOCS or TANGO is a plus
Several years of experience in leading R&D teams including supervision of students
Experience in acquiring third - party funding
High degree of flexibility and willingness to travel
Excellent written and spoken English skills

Master of science degree in physics with excellent grades
Strong software skills (ROOT, C++, Python)
Good teamwork and communication skills
Good English language skills
Ability and readiness to intermittently travel to CERN

Finished PhD in particle physic or adjacent field or equivalent qualification
Experience in software development in C/C++
Knowledge of portability libraries (e.g. Alpaka, Kokkos, SYCL) is a plus
Self-guided to acquire recent knowledge and methods
Strong interest to learn new techniques and programming languages
Very good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken

Mehrjährige Erfahrungen mit HF-Anlagen hoher Leistung
Kenntnisse in Modellierung und Simulation von HF-Systemen
Langjährige, einschlägige Erfahrung im Bereich des Betriebs von Beschleunigeranlagen
Gute organisatorische Fähigkeiten
Teamfähigkeit, Kommunikationsfähigkeit und Zuverlässigkeit Eigenständige Mobilität auf und zwischen den verschiedenen Standorten sowie innerhalb der unterirdischen Beschleunigeranlagen
Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
