Your Duties:

- Report to Manager Manufacturing Engineering, Stamping
- Does not manage people
- Acts based on directions by the manager and undertakes actions for process improvement in new product introduction
- Responsible for executing the job with focus on cost, quality and timing
- Builds and maintains an attitude of team player to fellow positions to attached and interacting organizations
- Act in accordance with environmental, health and safety regulations
- Act in accordance with compliance and security regulations
- Determine feasibility for Engineering Changes Orders (ECOs) and determine time and cost to implement.
- Work with CAD Tech Lead, ECO/Machining Lead, and Toolmakers to develop modification plans for stamping dies to implement quality improvements, new build die design, ECOs and other modifications and/or repairs. 

Your Qualifications:

- Bachelor / Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. The equivalent in experience is also acceptable with evidence of exceptional ability
- Previous experience in working in and acting with multiple groups of professionals
- Previous experience in automotive stamping/ die manufacturing
- Solidly organized, with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with structured problem-solving methodology
- Able to work under intense time pressure in the presence others
- Mastery of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio / Project, Jira, Confluence
- Travel is included, including some internationally may be required from time to time
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in German and/or English language skills
- Experience in CNC programing and surface reverse engineering is a plus

The Project Engineer Intern will report to the General Assembly Senior Manager at the Berlin Facility. The Project Engineering Intern will be tasked with various duties including but not limited to: tracking project status, writing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, administrative duties, generating monthly reports and scheduling projects.

## Was zu tun ist

- Organization and follow-up of open points/actions that are required to secure a non-event introduction of the program; ensure conveyed and well communicated as actionable items throughout the organization.
- Drive all activities relating to the introduction of program(s) and coordinated changes into the factory. Clear target is to meet or exceed program milestones as set forth by the company, and a ”non-event launch” mentality with each.
- Participate in and lead various “cross functional” Program and Manufacturing Readiness forums. Provide clear updates on status and recovery plans as necessary at both working and executive level.
- Oversee the complete manufacturing validation for the program. Drive supply chain readiness and handover from launch planning to production planning; organize and oversee factory transition; and follow-up on excess/obsolescence planning and post program/service introduction activities
- Plan, organize, and orchestrate all pre-launch build activities. Facilitate ramp management with operations teams.
- Steer overall program validation plan and manufacturing readiness criteria (KPIs).
- Environment, health, and safety considered in all activities and manufacturing validations
- Ensure that GA processes are followed in all doings.
- Interact, integrate, and drive results across cross-functional teams in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, production, production control, sales, service, etc.
- Author weekly/as needed project status, summary, and issue resolution tracking reports
- Various other activities as assigned to support GA and/or other production departments
- Regular knowledge share with GA peers in Battery, Drive Unit and Vehicle teams.

## Was mitzubringen ist

- Studying a degree in an Engineering discipline: Industrial, Mechanical, and/or Process Engineering.
- Production Operations Knowledge - Has a firm understanding of how complex production lines operate including key items such as industrial workings between facilities/departments, line balance, OEE, error proofing, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills dealing with all levels of an organization. Able to communicate to senior and executive level leadership effectively and confidently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Well versed with common workplace software (word processor, spreadsheet, database, etc). Excellent organizational skills
- Able to be a creative thinker and devise creative solutions to complicated problems
- Excellent problem solving skills; adverse in various problem solving methodologies
- Team player; ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment with cross-functional teams
- Previous experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Previous experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc)
- Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings or CAD models
- Has a well versed understanding of production line layout, flow, and modeling.
- experience in automotive, high tech, or other high volume/high complexity manufacturing is a plus
- Strong motivation coupled with demonstration of exceptionable ability to support the company mission is necessary to succeed
