The University Medical Center Göttingen and Hannover Medical School are the two largest university hospitals in Lower Saxony. 12 PhD positions (TV-L E13, 65%, 3+1 years) in the RTG2978 at the University Medical Center Göttingen or Hannover Medical School, Germany

The Research Training Group (RTG) 2978 is a newly founded DFG-funded interdisciplinary Research and Training Consortium jointly established by the University Medical Center Göttingen and the Hannover Medical School under the roof of the Comprehensive Cancer Center Lower Saxony (CCC-N).

The RTG 2978 mission is to understand and exploit therapy-induced adaptation processes in gastrointestinal (GI) cancer in order to develop novel therapeutic strategies to combat colorectal-, liver-, biliary tract and pancreatic cancer. In their doctoral research projects, trainees will combine translational research with in-depth mechanistic studies in relevant pre-clinical GI cancer models and collaborate across scientific disciplines in two leading centers for medical research in Germany. An innovative qualification program, tailored to the scientific and methodological spectrum of the research projects, supports RTG trainees in their individual academic career development.

Design and perform experimental approaches spanning mechanistic to translational studies in relevant model systems, including in-vivo, in-vitro, and in-silico settings
Participation in an interdisciplinary and interprofessional qualification program tailored to the scientific focus of the RTG and organized by RTG PIs and the established graduate schools Hannover Biomedical Research School and Göttingen Graduate Center for Neurosciences, Biophysics, and Molecular Biosciences
Report, summarize, share and analyze data, integrate experimental results with clinical findings, bridging clinical and pre-clinical research
Present your progress in regular thesis advisory committee meetings, scientific meetings and research conferences
Contribute to joint scientific publications
Supervise Medical students in the experimental part of their thesis work from the third PhD year onwards

Minimum requirement: Master-s Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Data Sciences, or Bioinformatics or equivalent from an accredited institution
Previous experience in relevant research methodology and technology and basic knowledge in gastrointestinal cancer model systems appreciated
Advanced English Proficiency (C1 or equivalent) expected
Collaborative mindset
Proficiency in common tools for data analysis, state-of-the-art data procurement and reporting, and bioinformatics
Willingness to work in an interdisciplinary and collaborative research team and to actively participate in the RTG´s qualification program

- Guide product from concept to launch to commercialization, leading cross-functional teams and ensuring it meets customer needs and achieves business objectives
- Articulate, communicate and execute product vision, strategy, and roadmap

What will convince us

- Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Life Science or a related field
- Seasoned professional, minimum 8 years of professional experience in Life Science (ideally biopharmaceutical industry), of which at least 2 years in a complex customer-facing role, e.g., in sales or a technical support role; a major plus is having meaningful experiences across different functions

Um den Frauenanteil in den ingenieurwissenschaftlichen Fächern an den Fakultäten Ingenieurwissenschaft und Gesundheit und Ressourcenmanagement zu erhöhen,möchten wir zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt im Gleichstellungsbüro der HAWK für den Standort Göttingen zwei halbe Stellen besetzen:

Koordinator*in (m/w/d) MINT-Aktivitäten für Schülerinnen, Studentinnen und Promovendinnen

(E 13 TV-L, Teilzeit mit 19,90 Std./Woche)

Die Stellen sind befristet auf vier Jahre. Die Besetzung erfolgt vorbehaltlich der Mittelzuweisung im Professorinnenprogramm 2030.
Sie entwickeln und organisieren wirksame Programme, um Schülerinnen für die MINT-Studiengänge am HAWK-Standort Göttingen zu gewinnen, MINT-Studentinnen und -Promovendinnen zu einem erfolgreichen Studien-/Promotionsabschluss zu führen und sie auf ihr späteres Berufsumfeld vorzubereiten. Im Rahmen dieses Projektes übernehmen Sie folgende Tätigkeiten:

Bestandsaufnahme und Analyse von MINT-Aktivitäten für Schülerinnen, Studentinnen und Promovendinnen
Koordination, Organisation und Durchführung geeigneter MINT-Programme für den Standort Göttingen
Weiterentwicklung der bestehenden MINT-Aktivitäten für Frauen (z. B. Girls‘ Day, Female NetworkING) unter Einbezug des aktuellen Stands der Geschlechterforschung
Sensibilisierung für Barrieren im Hinblick auf die Chancengleichheit der Geschlechter in den MINT-Fächern
Begleitende Evaluation und kontinuierliche Optimierung der MINT-Programme
Pflege und Ausbau des internen und externen Kooperationsnetzwerks sowie regionaler und überregionaler Austausch und Vernetzung mit Expert*innen
Mitwirkung bei Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und Marketing zur Erhöhung der Sichtbarkeit unserer MINT-Aktivitäten

Abgeschlossenes wissenschaftliches Hochschulstudium (Master oder Diplom) in einem für das Themengebiet relevanten Studienfach (MINT- oder sozialwissenschaftlicher Bereich) sowie Berufserfahrung in einem für die Ausschreibung zentralen Bereich
Idealerweise Kenntnisse in Hochschulstrukturen und Erfahrung in hochschul- und gleichstellungspolitischer Arbeit
Fachwissen zu Genderaspekten in Studium, Lehre und Forschung sowie Affinität für Gleichstellungsarbeit
Ausgewiesene Erfahrung im Projektmanagement, im Veranstaltungsmanagement und in der Öffentlichkeits- und Netzwerkarbeit
