Airbus Defence and Space in Manching is looking for a

Equipment Engineer (d/f/m) Eurofighter Sensor Systems

Our team is responsible to develop sensor equipment solutions for the Eurofighter, e.g. E-Scan Radar as well as Defensive Aids products, within national as well as multi-national projects supporting the overall product life cycle: starting with technology and research projects, feasibility studies and system definition phases, development, integration and qualification tasks and finally to support the introduction to customer fleet.

We are looking for a highly motivated engineer to strengthen our team regarding the software as well as airborne electronic hardware development activities for the new Eurofighter E-Scan Radar system (ECRS Mk1).

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

- Analyse Eurofighter Avionics as well as Equipment requirements and design to derive requirements relevant for software and airborne electronic hardware development (procedural & functional) in cooperation with the Equipment supplier
- Support the requirements based engineering of the Equipment supplier and validate the derived software and airborne electronic hardware design concepts
- Give guidance and harmonize development and qualification planning between Airbus Engineering and Equipment supplier
- Support qualification and verification activities at supplier’s premises
- Validate supplier’s software and airborne electronic hardware development artefacts; contribute to development milestone reviews
- Support technical workshops with stakeholders from Airbus, suppliers and partner companies

Desired skills and qualification:

- Bachelor/Master in Software Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Knowledge about requirements based engineering as well as software and/or airborne electronic hardware development processes
- Knowledge about qualification/certification requirements for airborne systems (e.g. DO-254, DO-178)
- Knowledge about Eurofighter Weapon System Avionics as well as Radar functionality is an advantage
- Experience in software and/or airborne electronic hardware development
- Experience with supplier management is an advantage
- Fluent German and English
- Good communication skills
- Eager to work in international projects and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Interest and ability to work on different projects simultaneously

- Support the selection, test, evaluate and deploy new CAD/PDM Tools Develop and deploy the CAD Methods and Processes in the company programs

- Fristgerechte Beistellung der in den Fertigungsbereichen / Werkstätten notwendigen Betriebsmittel unter Berücksichtigung von Termin, Kosten und Qualität inZusammenarbeit mit den relevanten internen Fachbereichen (Konstruktion, PMO, Fertigung,Einkauf etc.) und den externen Lieferanten und Partnern
- Eigenständige Erstellung von komplexen deutsch- und englischsprachigen Lastenheften inkl. Spezifikation für die Entwicklung / Beschaffung / Modifikation von Betriebsmitteln
- Eigenverantwortliche Umsetzung von Projekten im internationalen Umfeld
- Selbständige Einsteuerung und Betreuung von Betriebsmittelleihen unter Berücksichtigung der geltenden Exportregularien Zuarbeit und Koordination des Entwicklungs- und ggf. Zulassungsprozesses für Betriebsmittel
- Selbständige Bewertung und Umsetzung von Verbesserungsvorschlägen unter Berücksichtigung von Sicherheit, Termin, Kosten und Qualität
- Aussonderung von firmen- und kundeneigenen Betriebsmittel unter Berücksichtigung und Einhaltung der gültigen Vorschriften, Verträge und Gesetze
- Eigenverantwortliche Erstellung von FMEA (Fehlermöglichkeits- und Einflussanalyse)

Ihr Profil:

- Abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Elektrotechnik, Maschinenbau, Mechatronik oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
- Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung in der Fertigung / Produktion
- Erfahrung bei der Erstellung von kommerziell / technischen Aufwands-und Kostenschätzungen
- Gute Kenntnisse zur Erstellung von FMEA
- Kenntnisse im Bereiche 3D Druck, Automatisierung/ Robotik
- Sicherer Umgang mit MS-Office und MS-Project
- Verhandlungssichere Deutsch- und fortgeschrittene Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift

Als Ingenieur Eletktrotechnik im Technical Support bei AIRBUS erwarten Sie folgende Aufgabenschwerpunkte (m/w/d):

Das bringen Sie mit:

- einschlägige Berufserfahrung in der Wartung, gerne in der Luftfahrt
- ausgeprägte angewandte elektrotechnische Kenntnisse
- Kenntnisse über das Tornado Flugzeug von Vorteil
