**Drittmittel** Die Arbeitsgruppe IMMUNREGULATION (Prof. Dr. Anne Dudeck) am Institut für Molekulare und Klinische Immunologie sucht ab dem 01. Oktober 2024 zunächst befristet für 3 Jahre einen **wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiter** (Postdoc, TVL-E13, 100%) Fachrichtung Biologie, Biochemie, Humanmedizin, Life Science **Unser Forschungsschwerpunkt:** ist die *in vivo* Untersuchung der funktionellen Relevanz von Mastzellen bei der angeborenen und adaptiven Immunabwehr, sowie in akuten und chronischen Entzündungsprozessen. Wir untersuchen die interzelluläre Kommunikation der Mastzellen mit gewebsständigen Immunzellen (wie Dendritische Zellen und Makrophagen) und Nicht-Immunzellen (Endothel und Epithel), sowie den Einfluss von Mastzellen auf die Rekrutierung von Effektorzellen des Immunsystems (wie neutrophile Granulozyten und T-Zellen). Ein besonderes Interesse liegt bei Mastzell-Funktionen bei der Regulierung der Barriere-Integrität sowie bei der Inter-Organ-Kommunikation. Zu diesem Zweck kombinieren wir high-end Mikroskopie-Techniken (zum Beispiel intravitale 2-Photonen Mikroskopie, Lightsheet-Mikroskopie) mit molekularbiologischen, zellbiologischen und immunologischen Methoden, und Omics Technologien. Investigating neuronal connectivity using multichannel patch clamp electrophysiology
starting as soon as possible for a 3-year fixed-term period (in accordance with the availability of funds) in part time 65% (26 hours per week) with a salary of TV-L E13.
About the project: This project focuses on investigating functional neuronal connectivity within the medial septum on mouse brain slices using a combination of electrophysiological and molecular biological methods. The position will have a clear methodological focus on patch-clamp electrophysiology. Specifically, the selected candidate will employ an advanced eight-channel, multiple whole-cell patch-clamp setup to explore neuronal connectivity.
The candidate will gain hands-on experience with a range of cutting-edge techniques, including brain slice and potentially in-vivo patch-clamp electrophysiology, multielectrode arrays (MEA), molecular cell identification, and single- and two-photon imaging. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in electrophysiological methods, advanced imaging technologies and molecular biology. You will work at the Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology (LIN) under supervision of Prof. Dr. Stefan Remy. The PhD position is available as part of a collaborative project for a fixed term appointment, initially for 3 years, with a salary of TV-L E13 (65%) starting earliest from March 1st, 2025. About the project: SFB 1436 subproject B06: ‘Deployment of neural resources for temporal attention across the senses’, is a collaboration between Prof. Janelle Pakan, Prof. Eike Budinger, and Prof. Toemme Noesselt as part of an already established Collaborative Research Centre in Magdeburg (Germany). The project focuses on a key component that is instrumental in cognitive performance and memory formation, the deployment of temporal information in multisensory contexts. Your role in the project will be to investigate by means of in vivo two-photon imaging in behaving mice and correlated high-field animal MRI how temporal attention influences the generation, maintenance, and updating of multisensory stimulus representations. In collaboration with human behavioral and MRI investigations the project strives to directly connect principles of animal and human system physiology.
