We offer 15 doctoral positions (PhD) in the doctoral program RTG 2719 „Proteases in pathogen and host: importance in inflammation and infection“. Our PhD training program integrates internationally recognized research groups in a unique collaborative framework to study the role of proteases in infection and inflammation. It provides an excellent platform for research and training, using state-of-the-art technologies in biochemistry, bioinformatics, functional genomics (multi-omics), immunology, microbiology as well as molecular cardiology and gastroenterology with enormous potential for translational research. The program is backed up by an individual supervision and coaching program as well as topic-related seminars, practical courses, and transferable skills workshops. The positions are funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG GRK 2719/1).
