JR10231570 Loads Engineer (d/f/m)


Within the Flight Physics Centre of Competence in Airbus Defence & Space you will have a unique opportunity to influence the future military A/C design, participating in all phases, from preliminary design up to flight test, certification and qualification.

Loads is a fundamental domain in the modern aircraft design, having as stakeholders most of the aeronautical engineering technical areas: Product Development, Chief Engineering, Aerodynamics, Flight Dynamics & Flight Control Laws,  Mass Properties, Performance, Powerplant, Structures, Flight Tests, Systems, Certification, Flight Manuals.

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Contribute to A/C Loads assessments and computations, perform Loads Clearance assessments, contribute to the definition of structural design criteria and certification requirements, deliver Loads certification documents to authorities.


- Evaluate in-service events related to overload / flight parameter exceedances.


- Perform improvements of models, methods and processes, helping on simplification and harmonization.


- Support to technical philosophy, methodology, tools, assumptions and deliverables to satisfy customer requirements.





Desired skills and qualifications
- You have a Masters degree in mechanical or aerospace mechanics


- You have good interpersonal skills, an ability to adapt and the capacity to work in transverse teams in a complex environment.


- You are a good team player, have excellent communication and writing skills, and are able to work independently.


- You plan to move towards an expertise in the Loads field


- Advanced English required; German would be a plus.





This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
