HMI and Language Tester & Coordinator (m/w/d)

Your tasks:

- Lead EU Local Translation Review & Coordination:
- Coordinate local language review efforts with in-market stakeholders, translation vendors, and internal teams.
- Act as the central contact point in smart Europe for language and voice assistant testing and validation for in-car HMI systems.
- Manage the scheduling, communication, and alignment across regions during the review process.
- Support the localization workflow from planning to execution, ensuring deadlines and standards are met.
- Reporting, Analysis & Quality Control:
- Analyze language quality issues reported from local teams or identified during internal testing.
- Propose and implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance translation quality.
- Support testing activities related to HMI interfaces to ensure language and UI coherence

Your profile:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Linguistics, Translation, Communication, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in localization, translation quality assurance, or related roles.
- Strong coordination and project management skills across cross-cultural teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive mindset toward problem-solving.
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with HMI systems or automotive user interfaces is a plus.
- Fluent in English; additional language proficiency is an advantage.

Your tasks:

- Test Planning: Develop detailed charging test plans, coordinating with CEOs from various countries to identify key CPOs and testing focus areas, ensuring all test scenarios and conditions are thoroughly covered.
- Test Execution: Conduct charging tests in real-world environments (route tests, wallbox tests, etc.), using professional data acquisition equipment (e.g., CANoe, oscilloscopes) to record test data and results, providing valuable data support for the project.
- Problem Analysis: Analyze issues identified during testing to determine their root causes, and coordinate with the relevant R&D, quality, and local market teams.
- Problem Resolution: Collaborate with the team to propose and implement effective solutions, ensuring the stability and reliability of the charging system (800V and 400V platforms).

Your profile:

- Bachelor, Master degree of Automotive Engineering or other technical education background
- Work experience in research and development in OEM or Tier 1
- Professional experience in EU road testing is beneficial
- Experience in areas such as software validation and building testing hardware for attribute scope.
- Knowledge of using of MS office tools, mainly Excel, PPT
- Knowledge of vehicle data acquisition tools (e.g. CANoe, DSA, VDS, SEDS)
- Valid driver's licence in EU

Recent advances in deep learning (DL) provide high accuracy for various tasks targeting a wide range of applications ranging from Tiny ML that typically run on low power devices up to foundation and large language models running on cloud-based systems. One core discipline in the development process lies the modeling and performance estimation of the target system. With this work we want to push the boundaries of the current state of the art to adapt to the increasingly rapid development cycles with new approaches to faster predict and evaluate the performance behavior of future systems.

-  In this PhD project, you will investigate how to extract different hardware characteristics and the possible ways to model them at different levels of abstractions, efficiency, as well as accuracy.
- You will inspect how to use these characteristics to predict performance for different workloads on a target hardware platform and across platforms.
- As a part of our team, you will explore different novel machine learning based methods including their applicability and efficiency compared to the conventional modeling methods.
- Furthermore, you will discover different machine learning compilers and their usage as part of the modeling workflow and the related optimizations that can facilitate more efficient as well as accurate predictions.

Qualifikationen

- Education: excellent degree (Master or Diploma) in Electrical Engineering, Information Engineering, Microelectronics or Informatics
- Experience and Knowledge: proficiency in programming languages (C/C++, Python, Matlab), good skills in modern mathematics, e.g. Machine Learning (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.), Solver, Neural Networks, knowledge of AI algorithms, experience in digital hardware, embedded systems as well as in SoC architectures
- Personality and Working Practice: you enjoy being creative and asserting yourself in certain topics; you like working in a team and understand how to think in a structured, abstract, and strategic way to achieve the best possible performance
- Languages: fluent in English, German is an advantage
