A Snapshot of Your Day
On a typical day, you start with a global call on incoming issues from the Gas Turbine fleet in operation. There you receive your assignments for the day and begin the data collection by reviewing the reports, interacting with on-site personnel and researching specifics of parts installed and operational regime. You proceed with an analysis and prepare the Engineering assessment with recommendations for the further operation for later discussion with Senior Engineers and Experts. Ultimately you document and communicate the outcome and implications in our system. To round-up your day, you add your contribution to the consolidated Fleet Feedback and get informed about Design, Manufacturing and other operational updates
How You’ll Make an Impact
* Monitoring of the operation of our Large Gas Turbines Blades & Vanes and providing condition-based technical assessments via our internal PCM system
* Providing back-office support to the worldwide Field Service on technical queries related to Blades & Vanes during Gas Turbine outages
* Analyzing the applicability of components into individual Gas Turbines and operation scenarios and providing recommendations upon customer requests
* Providing risk assessments to our partner organizations in case of deviation from design parameters
* Participating in projects and customer meetings to investigate technical issues and implementing fixes and solutions
What You Bring
* Engineering Degree (preferably Mechanical or Materials) as part of professional background
* Solid knowledge of Gas Turbines operation and design varieties of Turbine Blades & Vanes in operation
* Skills to perform damage analysis (Mechanical Integrity, oxidation progress, crack propagation) in superalloys at high temperature operations
* Experience gained in Manufacturing, Design, or Service of Power Plant components
* Solution-driven team player and reliable delivery of results on short-term tasks
* Flexibility to serve business trips and the Engineering 24/7 hotline on demand (approx. 10-20%)
* Fluent in English and German

After overseeing the data feed into our databases, you update performance versus estimates comparisons and create new data points for the consolidated Fleet Feedback. How You’ll Make an Impact
* Monitoring of the operation of the Gas Turbines Fleet, with an initial focus on Blades & Vanes technical issues and data gathering to create statistical analyses and establishment of potential correlations to operation conditions, manufacturing, and design aspects
* Tracking the condition-based technical assessments provided by the operation support team to establishment of a ranking related to technical and commercial impact of individual issues
* Alignment with partner organizations of technical priorities with higher business impact to the analysis
* Presentation of a regular Fleet Feedback report with proper visualization leading to technical solutions and investment decisions
What You Bring
* Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Materials)
* Many years of experience in Technical Projects or Data Science
