We are looking for you:

PhD in Clinical Cancer Biology and Bioinformatics (m/f/x)

in Munich

Your tasks and responsibilities:

- Get wet lab insights and analyze data from single-cell techniques (snRNA-seq, 10x Genomics) and spatial biology methods (sequential immunofluorescence with Lunaphore COMET; spatial transcriptomics with Xenium, 10x Genomics)
- Perform and analyze Illumina-based next-generation sequencing (Novaseq XP)
- Play a leading role in analyzing quantitative biological data and guide others in its interpretation.

Your qualifications:

- A Master degree (or equivalent) in bioinformatics, informatics, physics, immunology, molecular biology, biomedicine, or related science fields
- Experience in molecular biology and next-generation sequencing
- Extensive proficiency in quantitative data analysis and programming skills in relevant languages (e.g. R and/or Python)
- Strong command of English
- An open and outgoing personality with exceptional teamwork skills
- Ability to think critically and work independently.

We are looking for you:

PhD in Computational Pathology (m/f/x)

in Munich

Your tasks and responsibilities:

- Use machine learning and AI to analyze very large clinical cohorts (&1.000 patients) of histopathological slides and get insights into histopathology diagnostics
- Integrate image data with biological data (“omics”)
- Develop digital biomarkers and decision-support tools for cancer diagnostics
- Further develop spatial analysis of biological data sets (e.g. spatial transcriptomics).

Your qualifications:

- A Master degree (or equivalent) in machine learning, bioinformatics, informatics, physics, biomedicine or related science fields
- Extensive proficiency in quantitative data analysis and programming skills in relevant languages (most importantly Python)
- Strong command of English
- An open and outgoing personality with exceptional teamwork skill
- Ability to think critically and work independently.

Die Abteilung der Experimentellen Chirurgie am Institut INSURE - Institute for Translational Cardiac Surgery der KLINIK FÜR HERZ- UND GEFÄSSCHIRURGIE sucht zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt einen

BIOINFORMATIKER (M/W/D)

In der Abteilung für Experimentelle Chirurgie werden Grundlagenwissenschaften im Bereich der kardialen Entwicklungsbiologie, der kardialen Regeneration und der molekularen Kartierung mit präklinischer Forschung kombiniert.

Ihre Verantwortlichkeit liegt in der Einrichtung und dem Betrieb von Rechenpipelines zur Vorbereitung und Integration von Datensätzen aus Hochdurchsatz-Experimenten und der Durchführung von Datenanalysen. Weiterhin sind Sie für die Betreuung der Server-Infrastruktur, sowie der Softwareumgebung verantwortlich.
Ihre Aufgaben

• Einrichtung und Benchmarking von Pipelines für die Vorverarbeitung und Analysen von DNA-Datensätzen (GWAS, WES, WGS), RNAseq, single-cell RNAseq, Proteomik- und Metabolomik-Datensätzen
• Unterstützung des Dateninformationssystems (DIS) der kardiovaskulären Biobank (KaBi-DHM)
• Betreuung des Forschungsdatenmanagements

Ihr Profil

• Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium (Master, Diplom [Univ.]) in Bioinformatik, Informatik, Biologie oder einem verwandten Fachgebiet
• Promotion in diesem Bereich ist von Vorteil
• Erfahrung in der Vorverarbeitung und Analyse von Hochdurchsatzdaten
• Erfahrung in R, Python, Java und anderen gängigen Programmiersprachen
• Erfahrung mit UNIX/Linux
• Erfahrung mit Versionskontrollen
• Erfahrung mit Workflow-Management-Systemen
• Erfahrung mit Hochdurchsatz-Rechnersystemen
• Erfahrung mit Datenbanken und Laborinformationssystemen
• Ausgezeichnete schriftliche und mündliche Kommunikation in Englisch
