“Research for a life without cancer" is our mission at the German Cancer Research Center. We investigate how cancer develops, identify cancer risk factors and look for new cancer prevention strategies. We develop new methods with which tumors can be diagnosed more precisely and cancer patients can be treated more successfully. Every contribution counts – whether in research, administration or infrastructure. This is what makes our daily work so meaningful and exciting.

The H3 Helmholtz Health Hub is seeking a Community Manager (f/m/d) for H3 Health Hub in part-time (50%).

H3 Health Hub is a Helmholtz Transfer initiative dedicated to inspire researchers to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset and bring innovative research results from lab to business. Entrepreneurial success requires an extensive network as well as an inclusive and flourishing community. Your task as community manager is to expand and further develop the already existing H3 community and to network it with regional and (inter-)national partners. You support the H3 program managers with a social media strategy and event marketing via the H3 website and other digital platforms.

Your Tasks

- Community Management in the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem
- Independent development and implementation of an online networking strategy
- Expansion of the community at all centers in the H3 Health Hub and beyond
- Establishment of new and further development of existing collaborations
- Implementation of a social media strategy on different online platforms
- Event marketing and representation of H3 Health Hub at events (online and on-site)

Your Profile

- University degree, e.g. Bachelor level in a relevant field such as economics, (social) sciences, psychology or communication
- Experience in community work and event marketing/management, ideally in the startup ecosystem
- Good understanding or experience in the areas of transfer, start-up and entrepreneurship
- Proven experience and interest in working with digital tools, project management and social media
- Service and team orientation as well as structured, independent working and proactive communication style
- Very good written and spoken English skills and good command of the German language
